The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) recently recovered Bitcoin mining equipment worth approximately $2.7 million that was stolen during a high-profile heist at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The machines, which were destined for shipment to Hong Kong, were seized by law enforcement before they could be transported out of the country. 2 suspects, Oscar David Borrero-Manchola and Yonaiker Rafael Martinez-Ramos, have been apprehended for their alleged roles in a South American crime ring responsible for multiple thefts, including this recent case.
