Hyper Foundation Opens Validator Program for Public Participation

Hyper Foundation has made its validator set public, enabling anyone to participate in maintaining the blockchain network. The top 21 validators by staked tokens will form the active group responsible for consensus and earning rewards. To further decentralize participation, Hyper Foundation’s Delegation Program is launching soon, allowing token holders to delegate support to trusted validators. This program mirrors successful models seen on networks like Cosmos and Avalanche, promoting stability and community-driven participation. 21 permissionless nodes now constitute the validator set, with registration available to anyone. The foundation emphasized that only those with the highest staked tokens (the top 21) will be considered active. To participate as a validator, individuals must first register on the testnet and familiarize themselves with the technical requirements of maintaining node infrastructure. The long-term lockup of 10,000 HYPE tokens for 1 year, even if they don’t make it into the top 21, will be implemented as a core protocol element.
