EU Approves Blockchain Data Protection Guidelines to Meet GDPR

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has finalized rules governing the storage and sharing of personal data on blockchain, seeking to align with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The guidelines, recently approved, address concerns surrounding the unique characteristics of blockchain technology and aim to minimize access to stored information while ensuring compliance. A public consultation period began in April, culminating in a June 9 deadline for feedback.
