Cantor Partners Launches $3 Billion Bitcoin Fund with Softbank, Tether

American financial powerhouse Cantor Partners is partnering with the tech giant SoftBank and global stablecoin issuer Tether to launch a new fund focused on Bitcoin investing. This ambitious venture, dubbed 21 Capital, aims to capitalize on the growing popularity of digital assets like Bitcoin. 21 Capital will be structured as a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that secured $200 million in January and plans for an initial public offering (IPO). The fund’s strategy includes utilizing Tether’s contribution of $1.5 billion in Bitcoin, Softbank’s investment of $900 million, and Bitfinex’s $600 million.
