Over 70 Crypto ETFs Pending SEC Approval as Institutional Interest Soars

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is poised to review over 70 crypto-related exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications this year, reflecting a surge in institutional investment in the digital asset market. This marks one of the largest review periods for crypto ETFs in SEC history. Applications encompass funds based on altcoins, meme tokens, and complex derivatives, with more than 72 crypto-related ETFs currently awaiting approval. The burgeoning interest in crypto from institutions is driving this wave of ETF proposals.
