Bybit Hack: $1.4 Billion Stolen Funds, 68% Traceable

Bybit CEO Ben Zhou has provided an update on the stolen crypto funds from the recent hack. The hackers reportedly stole approximately $1.4 billion worth of digital assets, mostly Ethereum, but a majority of these funds remain traceable. Zhou stated that around 500,000 ETH were stolen in total. Of this amount, 68.57% remains traceable, with 27.59% vanishing into obscurity and only 3.84% frozen so far. The untraceable funds primarily went through privacy mixers before being sent to P2P and OTC platforms for further conversion.
