Uniswap Founder Calls for Ethereum L1 Scaling Focus

Hayden Adams, founder of Uniswap, advocates for prioritizing scaling improvements to Ethereum’s Layer 1 (L1). In a recent statement, he emphasized the importance of a rollup-centric roadmap for Ethereum’s future development. However, he criticized viewpoints that advocate for layer 2 (L2) solutions while simultaneously insisting on maintaining essential functions on L1. Adams argues that L2 solutions are crucial to achieve scalability and challenges the reluctance to support them due to vague reasons such as ‘ecosystem alignment.’ He calls for industry-wide clarity in technological choices and risk management, rather than fluctuating strategies. Adams urges against a compromise approach of incorporating all solutions, suggesting it might be more detrimental to Ethereum’s progress than no solution at all.
