Threshold Network has announced a strategic restructuring plan aimed at optimizing operations and enhancing profitability. The move involves transitioning responsibilities from the DAO to tLabs, a dedicated team focusing on protocol development and growth. This restructuring aligns with Threshold Improvement Proposal (TIP) 100, which builds upon TIP 98. As part of this process, the DAO has reduced assigned roles, shifting many to a dedicated team at tLabs. tLabs will now handle both tBTC development and integrations, facilitating faster feature rollout and expanded DeFi partnerships. This restructuring also involves consolidating governance roles within the DAO, creating a new Threshold Committee with six paid members and three volunteer seats to maintain a 5-of-9 multisig security threshold.
