SEC Greenlights Van Eck’s Cryptocurrency ETF, Offering Exposure to Digital Economy

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has granted approval for a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) focused on the cryptocurrency sector from financial giant VanEck. Dubbed ‘Onchain Economy ETF,’ this product will track 30-60 companies within the crypto ecosystem, targeting investments in firms engaged with mining operations, exchanges, data center operators, energy providers, hardware manufacturers, and more. Matthew Sigel, manager of the fund, expects it to begin trading under ticker ‘NODE’ on May 14th.
