Russia Eyes Stablecoin Solution Amidst Crypto Exchange Freeze

The Russian Finance Ministry is exploring the development of a Ruble-pegged stablecoin following a USDT freeze on Garantex, a major crypto exchange. This move comes after the EU sanctioned the exchange and restrictions on its operations impacted user funds worth over $30 million. USDT freezes on exchanges are a growing trend as Western sanctions limit access to international financial systems.
