Italy’s Finance Minister Highlights US Stablecoins as Bigger Threat Than Tariffs

Italy’s finance minister has cautioned that US stablecoin policies pose a more significant threat to financial stability than trade tariffs, arguing these digital assets could undermine the euro’s dominance in cross-border payments. Speaking at an event in Milan, Giancarlo Giorgetti stated this on April 20th during a panel discussion, according to Reuters.
