US Government Exploring Bitcoin Acquisition, Driven by Budget-Neutral Approaches

The US government is considering ways to acquire Bitcoin, aiming for budget neutrality in the process. Executive Director of the President’s Council on Advisers on Digital Assets, Bo Hines, confirmed this, mentioning top-level discussions about legal mechanisms for purchasing Bitcoin. He highlighted that the focus is on utilizing non-inflationary approaches and avoiding increasing the deficit. The discussions are being conducted in close collaboration with government agencies like Treasury and Commerce, forming an interagency task force to determine how to integrate Bitcoin into the US financial framework without burdening taxpayers.
