SEC Pushes Back on Ethereum ETF Decisions, Delaying Staking Ruling

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed its decision on whether to allow staking for Ethereum spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), pushing the timeline back until June 1st. The SEC initially signaled a potential delay following Grayscale’s application for permitting staking in their $ETH spot ETFs. While a proposed rule change by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on behalf of Grayscale was filed, the regulator is taking its time to fully assess the implications.
