Google Unveils New Protocol for Secure AI Agent Communication

Google has launched a groundbreaking open protocol called Agent2Agent (A2A) to facilitate secure communication between Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents, marking a significant step forward in AI interoperability. The announcement was made on Google’s developer blog, highlighting the company’s commitment to addressing challenges faced when deploying large-scale, multi-agent systems for clients. Over 50 technology partners have already endorsed A2A, including Atlassian, Box, Cohere, Intuit, Langchain, MongoDB, PayPal, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, UKG, and Workday, alongside leading service providers such as Accenture, BCG, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, HCLTech, Infosys, KPMG, McKinsey, PwC, TCS, and Wipro.
