The 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Festival brought together industry leaders to discuss the standardization and globalization of Web3 technologies in Asia. Irene Umar, Vice Minister of Creative Economy for Indonesia, played a key role by attending a closed-door discussion with the Web3.0 Standardization Association (W3SA) in Hong Kong. The event aimed to address challenges faced by Web3 in Indonesia, particularly around standardization efforts. Representatives from both countries participated, including Allen Yeung from the National People’s Congress and Herbert Chia of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, alongside key industry leaders like Ivan Chan from Web3.0 Tech and Ben El-Bas from HashKey Global.
