Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has introduced a new proposal aimed at enhancing user privacy on the blockchain without requiring major network modifications. In an April 11 post on the Ethereum Magicians forum, he explained how wallets and developers can integrate privacy tools like Railgun and privacy pools directly into existing systems. This approach aims to make privacy an integral part of fund transactions from their inception, rather than relying on separate privacy-focused apps. The roadmap calls for incorporating tools like FOCIL and EIP-7701, which facilitate the implementation of privacy protocols such as Tornado Cash and Railgun without needing centralized relayers. It also proposes adopting a practice of using distinct wallet addresses for each application interaction, making it challenging for external entities to track user activity across various platforms. urther details are provided in the roadmap.
