North Carolina Bill Would Allow Bitcoin for State Taxes, Transactions

A new bill in North Carolina seeks to allow residents to use cryptocurrency for state tax payments and other transactions. Introduced as the Digital Asset Freedom Act (HB 920), this legislation would recognize digital assets meeting specific criteria as legal mediums of exchange within the state. The bill ensures contracts and transactions based on cryptographic assets are not denied legal validity.
