New York Bill Aims to Legalize Bitcoin for State Payments

A new bill in New York state proposes a major shift in how the government handles digital assets. Assemblyman Clyde Vanel introduced A7788, seeking to amend state financial law to allow state agencies to accept cryptocurrency payments. This legislation would enable government offices to process fines, penalties, and other obligations using Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash.
