Trump’s World Liberty Financial Liquidates Ethereum Amidst Mounting Losses

World Liberty Financial, a firm backed by former President Donald Trump, has reportedly offloaded a significant amount of Ethereum (ETH) in recent days, citing mounting losses as the cryptocurrency price plunges below $1,500. Data from blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain reveals that on April 9th, a wallet linked to World Liberty Financial sold approximately 5,471 ETH for roughly $8 million at a price of $1,465 per coin. This sale represents a substantial loss considering the firm’s prior investment in Ethereum, which now sits with an unrealized loss of around $125 million.
