Thailand Tightens Crypto Regulations, Targeting Foreign P2P Services

Thailand is strengthening its efforts to combat online crime involving digital assets. New amendments to national laws, passed by Thailand’s cabinet on April 8th, will see increased measures targeting crypto-related financial activities. These changes include stricter regulations for foreign cryptocurrency peer-to-peer (P2P) platforms, the blocking of such services by Thai authorities, and penalties exceeding $8,700 in fines or up to three years imprisonment.
