Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal has been granted final approval to settle a class-action lawsuit for $11 million involving Astrals non-fungible token (NFT) buyers. The Florida federal court judge Federico Moreno approved the settlement agreement between O’Neal and the class group led by Daniel Harper on April 8th, after an order was issued in April. The deal creates a fund of up to $11 million for eligible class members with $2.9 million allocated towards attorney fees and costs. Individuals who purchased Astrals NFTs between May 2022 and January 15th, 2023, or those who bought the project’s native GLXY tokens before mid-January, are eligible for compensation.
