Argentine Congress Approves Investigation into Libra Cryptocurrency Scheme

The Argentine Chamber of Deputies has approved three resolutions related to the Libra cryptocurrency scandal, including the establishment of an investigative commission, subpoenas for government officials, and a request for information from the national government. The commission’s creation received 128 votes in favor, with 93 against and 7 abstentions. Subpoenas will be issued to various executive branch officials involved, including Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos, Minister of Economy Luis Caputo, Minister of Justice Mariano Cúneo Libarona, and head of the National Securities Commission (CNV) Roberto Silva.
