Zilliqa Leadership Changes as Network Pivots to ‘Zilliqa 2.0’

Zilliqa Technology has announced a leadership change, with CEO Matt Dyer stepping down as the company prepares for its major upgrade: Zilliqa 2.0. Internal leadership will take charge during the transition period while work continues on the upgraded network. The decision follows a challenging start to the year, marked by a cross-chain exploit in February that compromised Zilliqa’s X-Bridge and led to a significant decline in the ZIL token price. Despite these setbacks, the company remains committed to its roadmap for ‘Zilliqa 2.0’, with hopes of restoring investor confidence and driving future growth. Further leadership changes also occurred as Argo Blockchain CEO Thomas Chippas stepped down on February 28th.
