Lawyer Files Lawsuit Against DHS Seeking Evidence of Satoshi Nakamoto’s Identity

A crypto lawyer has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the US Department of Homeland Security, demanding access to information regarding alleged contact with individuals associated with Bitcoin’s creation. The lawsuit follows claims made by DHS Special Agent Rana Saoud at a conference in April 2019, who asserted that her colleagues met with four individuals believed to be instrumental in Bitcoin development. According to the lawsuit, these meetings took place and resulted in the gathering of information on the motives behind Bitcoin’s development. If the Department of Homeland Security resists disclosure, the lawyer, James Murphy, plans to pursue legal action until a resolution is reached. This lawsuit follows efforts by various researchers attempting to uncover Satoshi Nakamoto’s true identity. These include controversies surrounding Peter Todd, Nick Szabo, Adam Back, and Hal Finney, who have all faced accusations but denied any involvement in Bitcoin’s creation.
