Stock Futures and Commodities Take Plunge: Monday’s Market Slump

Significant losses were recorded across the U.S. financial market on Monday as stock futures experienced sharp declines. Nasdaq futures opened with a drop of over 5.5%, followed by S&P 500 futures falling more than 4.7% and the Dow Jones futures down over 4%. WTI crude oil also saw a notable decline of 4%. Spot silver suffered a fall of over 2% as well. Additionally, non-U.S. currencies weakened with the Japanese yen strengthening more than 1% due to increased risk aversion.
