SEC Revisits Crypto Guidance Amid Staff Resignations

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is undertaking a comprehensive review of its older guidance on digital assets, led by Acting Chair Mark T. Uyeda. This initiative follows Executive Order 14192 and recommendations from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Uyeda aims to clarify whether existing staff statements should be updated or removed in light of the SEC’s current priorities and recent developments in the digital asset space.
