Lazarus Group Secures Major Profit from Cryptocurrency Sale

The Lazarus Group, a North Korean hacking group, has reportedly made a substantial profit from recent cryptocurrency transactions. According to Odaily, they recently sold 40.78 Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), worth approximately $3.51 million, and pocketed a profit of $2.51 million from the sale. The group acquired these WBTC tokens in February 2023 at an average price of $24,521 per token, totaling approximately $999,900. Shortly after, they converted the WBTC into 1,857 Ethereum (ETH) and distributed this ETH across three separate wallets.
