Galaxy Digital, a leading digital asset firm, has secured approval from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to operate derivatives trading services in the United Kingdom. This authorization empowers Galaxy Digital’s investment banking division to engage in capital raising and investment banking activities within the country. The subsidiary will also play a crucial role in distributing funds for its asset management business. Galaxy Digital UK is now recognized under two major FCA registers, holding authorization to provide investment services based on the EU’s Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) and has been part of the FCA’s cryptocurrency register since 2021.
