Ripple Reaches Settlement With SEC, Ending Long-Standing Legal Battle

After a lengthy legal battle, Ripple has reached an agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company will pay $50 million of the original $125 million fine imposed by the SEC, while the remaining $75 million will be refunded to Ripple. In exchange, the SEC will request the court to lift an injunction previously placed on Ripple.
