Kaspa Sets to Revolutionize Blockchain Scalability with Crescendo Hardfork

Kaspa, a blockchain known for its scalability, is preparing for a major network upgrade called Crescendo Hardfork. This pivotal change is expected to boost throughput and bring new possibilities for users. Testnet-10 has been operating at 10 blocks per second (BPS) since March 6, 2025, with community members testing the network’s capacity to handle increased transaction volumes. Mainnet upgrade is slated for late April, though the exact timing may be adjusted depending on testnet performance. The upgrade aims to deliver a tenfold increase from Kaspa’s current 1 BPS throughput, enabling faster transaction confirmations and maintaining security benefits of proof-of-work consensus.
