BlackRock Secures UK Nod for Bitcoin ETP Launch, Expanding Crypto Services in Europe

Global investment giant BlackRock has received approval from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to operate as a crypto asset firm, marking a significant milestone. The firm is now authorized to offer its new European Bitcoin exchange-traded product (ETP) on the Euronext market in the UK. This regulatory clearance puts BlackRock among the 51st companies registered with the FCA and allows it to compete alongside established players such as Coinbase, PayPal, and Revolut who are all expanding their crypto services in the region.
