Ripple Reaches Settlement with SEC: End of a Major Regulatory Battle

After years of legal battle, Ripple has reached an agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) resolving their longstanding dispute. The company agreed to settle for $50 million out of the initial $125 million fine imposed, with the remaining $75 million being refunded. In a bid to end the litigation, Ripple will drop its appeal regarding the SEC’s ruling on institutional XRP sales.
