Kaspa: 10x Speed Upgrade on the Horizon with Crescendo Hardfork

Kaspa, a scalable proof-of-work blockchain, prepares for a major network upgrade dubbed ‘Crescendo.’ The hard fork is expected to be implemented in late April 2025, though this date may shift based on testnet performance. Testnet-10 has been operational at 10 blocks per second (BPS) since March 6, 2025, with community members currently conducting stress tests. This upgrade marks a significant leap for Kaspa’s network throughput, aiming to deliver faster transaction confirmation times while maintaining the security benefits of its PoW consensus.
