Fetch.ai Mainnet Upgrade Scheduled for April 1

Fetch.ai’s mainnet is scheduled for an upgrade on April 1st, 2025, at 8:00 PM UTC+8, contingent upon the approval of governance proposal #35. This maintenance-focused release aims to enhance security and operational efficiency, minimizing downtime for network participants. The upgrade integrates the existing governance module from cosmos-sdk, allowing only users who have delegated FET on the Fetch.ai mainnet to vote. Holders on Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), or Cardano will not be impacted. The network will halt at block height 21,267,067, with an expected downtime of one hour. Validators are required to meticulously follow provided upgrade instructions for a smooth process. Active participation from all validators is crucial for swift service restoration following the upgrade. Post-upgrade, the network will resume normal operations without changes to the API or chain state.
