Brazil Restricts Pension Funds’ Crypto Investments

Brazil’s National Monetary Council (CMN) has imposed a ban on pension funds from investing in cryptocurrencies due to concerns about the high level of risk they pose. Specifically, closed pension entities (EFPCs) are prohibited from allocating any funds from their reserves, typically consisting of bonds and stocks, into Bitcoin or other digital currencies.
