Brazil Restricts Pension Fund Investments in Cryptocurrencies

The Brazilian CMN has issued a new regulation prohibiting closed pension funds from investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This decision, according to the resolution 5.202 of the CMN, aims to minimize risks for pension fund portfolios. The CMN’s move reflects concerns over cryptocurrency volatility and its potential impact on traditional financial markets.
