U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has tapped Tyler Williams, Galaxy Digital’s regulatory counsel, to provide expert guidance on digital assets and blockchain technology policy. Williams, who leads Regulatory and Legislative Affairs at Galaxy Digital, also serves as a part-time lecturer at The George Washington University Law School. He brings extensive experience from his roles in government, including serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Department of Treasury under Steven Mnuchin from 2018 to 2020. During this time, he advised on digital asset regulations. He has also held positions under Senators Thom Tillis and Representatives Robert Hurt and John Boehner in Congress.
