Blockchain Performance Discrepancy: 20x Overstatement Unveiled by Taraxa Report

A new report from Taraxa, a layer-1 blockchain company, has revealed a significant gap between claimed and actual blockchain performance. Co-founder Steven Pu’s analysis of 22 networks found that theoretical transaction rates per second (TPS) are inflated on average by 20 times compared to observed real-world results. This discrepancy stems from lab-based metrics failing to accurately reflect performance in live mainnets.
