A critical security vulnerability discovered in the Scroll L2 has triggered concerns over its potential impact on over $100 million in Total Value Locked (TVL). Pavel Shabarkin, a Senior Blockchain Security Engineer at Quantstamp and whistleblower, revealed this issue to Foresight News. He claims that despite his initial report on February 17th, Scroll downplayed the severity of the flaw and labeled it as a known issue. Shabarkin’s subsequent request for an investigation by Immunefi, a platform specializing in bug bounty programs and security services, was met with inadequate response from Scroll. Consequently, he publicly disclosed the vulnerability to expose the project’s handling of security issues and their lack of responsiveness towards white-hat hackers.
