North Korea Hacks Cryptocurrency Developers with Malware Scheme

North Korean hackers are using a deceptive tactic to target cryptocurrency developers. The attack involves creating fake job offers on platforms like LinkedIn, leading victims down a treacherous path towards malware infection. These fraudulent postings often include malicious software and documents disguised as coding challenges from GitHub. Opening these documents triggers the installation of malware designed to compromise the victim’s system, all orchestrated by the notorious North Korean hacking group known as Slow Pisces (also known as Jade Sleet, Pukchong, TraderTraitor, or UNC4899).
