Cybercriminals Target macOS Users With Phishing Attacks Using Fake Ledger Live Apps

Cybercriminals are exploiting the popularity of cryptocurrency wallets, specifically those using Ledger Live on macOS devices, by creating fake applications to steal users’ sensitive data. A cybersecurity firm, Moonlock, discovered that these fraudulent apps operate as a phishing scheme. They replace the legitimate Ledger Live app with a clone designed to deceive users into entering their seed phrases. The stolen seed phrase then grants attackers full access to victims’ cryptocurrency holdings.
