Ledger Hardware Wallet Users Targeted in New Phishing Scam

A new phishing campaign targeting Ledger hardware wallet users is using deceptive physical letters to steal their recovery seed phrases and access funds. Scammers are creating fake documents that resemble official Ledger correspondence, including the company’s logo, address, and reference numbers. The letter urges recipients to complete a ‘critical security update’ by scanning a QR code and entering their 24-word recovery phrase. Failure to comply is threatened with restricted access to wallets and funds. A seed phrase grants full control of a crypto wallet; if scammers obtain this phrase, they can transfer all cryptocurrency assets from the wallet.
